The 3” Craws slightly melt other lures when in contact but ever so slightly. Long term (Months) they may melt other lures. We recommend that you keep them in their plastic packets when you are not using them to keep their shape.

Master the Art of Bass Fishing with Bottom-Dragging Lure Techniques:

To catch bass effectively, especially in colder months, try this proven bottom-dragging lure technique. Cast near structures or weed beds where bass often hide. Let the lure sink to the bottom, then, gently pull the bait 50-100cm toward you. Pause, then repeat the process. This slow, deliberate movement mimics a crab stirring up mud or silt while fleeing predators, making it irresistible to bass.

During the pause, the lure’s claws float in a defensive posture, adding realism to the presentation. Be cautious of snags, as these lures can catch on rough bottoms. For visible bass, cast precisely ideally ahead of the fish , let the lure settle, and give it a slight nudge/drag to trigger a strike. This technique shines for winter lure fishing, as it imitates the natural behavior of bottom-dwelling prey, enticing even sluggish bass. Often when fishing using creature baits you will get a pluck in the line (that’s the bass picking the lure up in its mouth) when this does happen lift the rod (strike upwards) to engage the hook into its mouth.

The 3” weighted craws (Main Photo Robin Bradley) are sold as singles and have weight (18g) in them. They have a hook hidden inside the body.
